Hunter X. Harville-Moxley - Composer & Conductor

Composing & Conducting; Two sides of the same coin.

As a composer, you have the freedom to craft intricate melodies and harmonies, bringing your artistic vision to life through each note you write. Conducting your own music grants you the opportunity to guide musicians through the nuances of your composition, shaping the performance with your unique interpretation and expression. The process of composing and conducting your own music is a journey of self-discovery and artistic fulfillment.

Hunter X. Harville-Moxley

Bringing my music to the world was always my dream. So I started composing and conducting.

Duke Ellington was right when he said “If it sounds good, it is good.” I started writing my own little tunes while I studied pipe organ playing and started directing my own church choir. I discovered that to compose is to conduct and vise versa. Mastering the building blocks of music gives you the freedom to express yourself off and on the podium.

Whether I’m composing, conducting, or writing, I am always open to exploring new ideas. The more I learn about someone’s music, the more I learn about someone’s life.
